Cullman Christian School is offering two options for home school families:
- Enrichment Studies (K-8th grade)-for members of our home school covering
- Course-specific Cooperative Programs (5th-12th grade)-for all home school students
Home School Covering with Enrichment Studies
CCS offers a Home School Covering for those families seeking quality academic standards and
membership within the Cullman Christian School community. This administrative covering will
provide the following services:
1) Fulfillment of Alabama state requirements in filing home school reports.
2) Provide/manage attendance reports, lesson plan documentation, report cards, curriculum
inventory, and transcripts.
3) Provide group discount rate for Home School Legal Defense
4) Participation in Enrichment Studies Program and/or Cooperative Classes
5) CCS Newsletter
6) Participation in selected school events, clubs, competitions, and sports teams (Sports teams
limited to HISL events).
Enrichment Studies Classes
Enrichment Studies (ES) Program is a one-day, once a week program offering academic
enrichment classes for home school students grades K4- 8th grade. The classes are held on the
CCS in conjunction with the students and faculty of the school. ES students maintain their own
individualized studies 4 days a week, then are invited to attend CCS one day a week to participate
in academic enrichment classes. Classes offered will vary. Subjects offered, but not limited to:
Spanish, Art, Music, Literature, Creative Writing, units studies in Science, unit studies in History,
Bible (Chapel), PE.
Classes will be arranged based on need and availability. Space may be limited in some classes.
A complete listing of classes will be posted on the website during summer months prior to the
beginning of school.
Students may choose from a partial day (morning classes only or afternoon classes only) or a full
day of enrichment classes. In choosing partial day, students are required to take consecutive
classes. (Example: You may not take a 9:00 class, omit 10:00 class and take 11:00 class) No
waiting area or study hall is provided for students not taking classes. Parents are responsible for
students not in class.
Enrichment Studies Fee schedule:
Annual Registration/ Re-enrollment Fee (non-refundable):
$100 per family prior to June 30th
$110 per family after June 30th
Book Usage, Supply and Student Activity Fee: $70 per student
This non-refundable fee is due by July 30th. This global fee covers lab fees, weekly readers, supplies,
enrichment class textbooks, art and music supplies, and student admittance to home games. It does not
cover individual sports equipment, private lessons, field trip costs, tournaments and competition fees.
Full day: $65 per month per student
Discounts for Multiple Children:
The oldest child pays full tuition
2nd child gets a 20% discount off their tuition
3rd child gets a 40% discount off their tuition
4th child gets a 60% discount off their tuition
5th child or more each gets a 80% discount
Family with 1 Student
Full day enrichment studies $650 year/ $65 month(for 10 months)
Family 2 Students- 20% Discount for 2nd child
Full day enrichment studies $1170year/ $117 month(for 10 months)
Family with 3 Students- 40% Discount for 3rd child
Full day enrichment studies $1560year/ $156 month (for 10 months)
Family with 4 Students- 60% Discount for 4th Child
Full day enrichment studies $1820 year/ $182 month (for 10 months)
Family with 5 or more Students- 80% Discount for 5th Child
Full day enrichment studies $1950 year/ $195 month (for 10 months)
Home School Cooperative Program
- Home school students may enroll in a specific class five days a week for the entire year.
- The class is taught on the CCS campus, by CCS faculty, using CCS curriculum. Students will
be enrolled as space is available.
- Classes will consist of those offered in the full time program, grades 5 and up.
- The tuition cost for this option is $75.00 per subject per month per student.
REQUIREMENTS/POLICIES
CCS maintains the following requirements for each student:
1. Monthly attendance reports
2. Grade reports every six weeks
3. Quarterly meetings with Coordinator to review lesson plans, curriculum selection, and
work samples
4. Annual standardized testing (required for grades 4-8, optional for K-3rd grade)
5. Compliance with all CCS policies and procedures
CCS Home School Policies
• Home School Covering/Enrichment Studies Program is available for home school
students K through 8th grade.
• High School Home School students may participate in Cooperative Classes without being
enrolled in our Home School Covering. (CCS Covering is not available for grades 9-12)
• Home School Covering is limited only to those students enrolled in CCS Enrichment
Studies or Cooperative Program
• Other siblings not participating in Enrichment Studies or Cooperative Program will not
be eligible for Home School Covering. (Example: Only one student from a family is enrolled in
ES classes, other siblings are not eligible for covering.)
• Participation in Enrichment Studies and membership in CCS Home School Covering will
coincide. Participation in Enrichment Studies is only available to those accountable to CCS
Home School Covering. (Example: Students from other home school coverings are not eligible
for ES classes.)
• When participating in Enrichment Studies or Cooperative Classes, students and parents
are required to comply with all the policies and procedures of CCS.
• Home school students are required to follow dress code and conduct code as described
in CCS student handbook.
• Parents are responsible to sign students in and out for all class.
• Parents are responsible for students not attending classes.
• When attending CCS field trips, the same requirements for regular students will be
required for home school students.
Home School participation in extracurricular activities
CCS offers participation in selected extracurricular activities for home school members.
• In-house celebrations and competitions. Home school students may be ineligible for
competitions sponsored by outside organizations (i.e. ACEA, AHSAA)
• Selected field trips (as deemed appropriate) Field trip participation may be offered to
specific age/grade students only. When appropriate, siblings and parents may attend.
• Sports events in which enrolled home school students are eligible for participation.( i.e.
HISL competition, but not ACEA or ASHAA competition)
• CCS will not be responsible for coordinating home school specific support groups or
activities.
• Home School exclusive field trip, parties, etc. may be coordinated by individual
members.
Home School Covering students are welcome to participate in science
fairs, spelling bees, music and drama productions, and other CCS
extracurricular activities and HISL sports.

Enrollment in Home School Programs is subject to approval by CCS Admission
Committee. Cullman Christian School admits students of any race, color,
