Lower School
Guidance & Music Services

CCS Lower School Counselor

Mrs. Candase Wilkins

Each week PK-6th grade students are visited by Mrs. Candase Wilkins.

Bi-weekly classes participate in either a guidance or music lesson.

Music lessons are designed to encourage an appreciation for music. This comes through singing, playing simple instruments, and studying elements of music.

Guidance lessons are designed to enhance the overall well being of students at school and at home. Topics covered include: goals, choices, regulation of feelings, and many more.

Mrs. Candase creates lessons that are engaging and developmentally appropriate to ensure each student is having fun while learning and understanding materials.

Mrs. Amanda Yearwood

Students in Grades 7-12 have full access to guidance and counseling services with Mrs. Amanda Yearwood.

Through grade level Google Classrooms, students are reminded about upcoming events and opportunities that they and their parents may want to take advantage of. For example, many colleges offer preview days for prospective students. Mrs. Yearwood provides information about these types of events for families as a resource.
