4-6-2023 PRESS RELEASE for Cullman Christian School

The 2023-2024 school year will look a little different for the students and staff of Cullman Christian School. Growing community interest and rising enrollment numbers have been the catalysts for adding a campus location to allow for additional classrooms.

On Tuesday (4-3-2023) during the CCS State of the School Address, Mr. Yearwood, Head of Schools announced that upper school classes will be held on a different campus next year. In the fall of 2023 classes for students in grades 7-12 of Cullman Christian School will take place at the former location of Desperation Church. This campus will be referred to as the Depot Park Campus. The school’s current location on Beech Avenue will remain the main campus and daily class location for students in PreK through 6th grade.

School officials report that this is a short-term solution needed due to limited space and increased enrollment. Plans for building additional classrooms on the Beech Avenue Campus are underway.

Head of Schools, Heith Yearwood stated “We are so thankful to Desperation Church and for the opportunity God has provided. We feel that this move will allow us to serve more families in the community who are seeking a Christian education for their children.”
